Welcome to know more about Alma’s Australian Labradoodles

We are a registered Australian Labradoodle breeder. We do extensive health testing (eyes, hips, elbows, patellas, DNA-tests on all our breeding dogs. We are located in Turku, Finland.

Our puppies are raised in our home, middle of our everyday life, not kennel. Because we believe that 1–8 weeks experiences have a lifelong impact of the puppy’s nature. 

Health testing

Health testing of Alma’s breeding stock is extensive and of the utmost importance to assure that our puppies have the best genetic opportunity of a healthy life. We are proud to be a recommended Australian Labradoodle WALA breeder. All our breeding dogs are DNA Profiled and health checked (hips, elbows, patellas, eyes) and have been submitted to the WALA.

We test our Alma’s breeding stock for the following:

  • Hips OFA.
  • Elbows OFA.
  • Eyes (EVCO).
  • Orivet or PawPrintGenetics DNA Profile.
  • Genetics Health Certificate:
    • Degenerative Myelopathy
    • Exercised-Induced Collapse
    • vWD Von Willebrand

Australian labradoodle


Australian Labradoodles are very loving, social and smart. They are perfect for therapy work or a perfect family pet. They are good with children of all ages. They loved to be with their family. They loved play, water and activity time. The wavy coat Australian labradoodle abradoodle needs regular grooming and should be clipped couple times a year.

Our puppy culture

Our Australian Labradoodles are home raised, happy, and healthy puppies. We socialize and raise the puppies. This ensures that proper care, training, and socialization requirements are met. We also work closely with our veterinarians ensure our puppies are well taken care of. If you want a puppy from Alma’s, there are some steps to do first. We have wait­ing list and an application process. We don’t have ”waiting list numbers”. Based on your needs and wants, we select the dog that have best fit your family and lifestyle. For example, if a customer has children’s, or a special need to fill, those are all factors that we take into consideration when choose a family to a puppy. Large amount of dog owners choose dogs as a status symbol and are overly concerned with their coat color, but we believe the most important thing should be the fit for the dog. Believe us, end of day, the dogs tempera­ment is more important than physical characteristics.


Socialization
Did u know of the fact that only 15% -20% of our dogs behavior is genetic? More than 80% is affected by the impact of socialization. Puppies has socialization period about 8-18 weeks of age. From the first day of birth, an amazing process takes place in the brain – the formation of connections between brain cells. Never before and never again these connections will be formed with such a speed.
Too much of stimulus, (or lack of them) will affect the future life of your dog as an adult. Weather he/she will be fearful, aggressive, have different types of phobias, or weather he/she will be sustainable, self-confident – depends from the events that take place during the critical period of development.

Neurological Stimulation
When puppies are under a week old, we start to do neurological stimulation for the puppies. Neurological stimulation program improve the long-term ability of our puppies to adjust to change and improve their physical conditioning, their health, and their performance in later life. When puppies are 4 weeks old they are part of our family’s everyday life and join us for family celebrations, vacations, car rides, practice coat caring and grooming etc.
